Resident Boat Trailer Parking Permit Information and Instructions
Orillia residents can park their boat trailer for free with an approved Resident Boat Trailer Parking Permit. The Boat Trailer Parking Program runs from May 15 - October 15 annually, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday, including public holidays. A permit is not needed outside of these timeframes.
The paid boat trailer parking locations are Centennial Park and Collins Drive boat launch parking lots, as well as Collins Drive, Rodger Road, and MacIsaac Drive. There is no fee or permit required to park without a boat trailer in these locations. Please note that as a result of Phase 2 of the Centennial Drive Reconstruction project currently underway, it is anticipated that the Centennial Park Boat Launch parking lot will not be available for public use until later this summer.
If you are not an Orillia resident, the rate to park your trailer is $10 per hour, maximum $50 per day. Please visit www.orillia.ca/parking for more information.
Permits will be issued by email within five business days from the request date. There is no opportunity for residents/taxpayers to get a Resident Boat Trailer Parking Permit in person. The Orillia Public Library is able to assist residents with the printing of their permits during regular business hours for a cost of $0.25. Residents who do not have access to the internet can have someone fill out the Resident Boat Trailer Parking Permit request form on their behalf.
Please check your junk or spam folder in case the email is delivered there instead of your inbox. Should you not receive your permit within 5 business days, please contact waterfrontparking@orillia.ca.
